Nelson, British Columbia in the West Kootenays of British Columbia, Canada. If you look on a map of British Columbia, the Kootenays in the southeastern province. The hot springs are located next to a hotel and a restaurant. You can also use the longest free ferry ride to Balfour (35 km north of Nelson) in Kootenay Lake to Crawford Bay. If you prefer mountain biking, off-road park at the beginning of each forest and spend a day in the mountains. Wildlife you may see deer, elk, cougars and black bears. Hwy Whitewater Ski Resort is located 10 km south of Nelson. If the parks of the highway, you will find the Nelson Nordic Ski Club trails cross country skiing. Other cities, you can easily understand in a one-day visit to Kaslo, Ymir, Salmo, Castlegar, Trail, Rossland and Slocan City.
